Wendy Shay warns Ghanaians not compare her with any Ghanaian Artiste

Wendy Shay, an artist signed to Ghana's Rufftown Records label, has cautioned Ghanaians not to compare her to any other Ghanaian singer because none of them are on the same level as her.

She claims that no one should compare her to any of her music business coworkers because none of them are her size or on the same level as her.

Wendy Shay, who is one of the most controversial female songstresses in the music industry disclosed that she accepted the title “Queen of Ghana music” because her fans see her as exceptional.

“First of all, the Queen of Ghana Music was a title my fans gave me,” Wendy Shay told 3Music. “And who doesn’t appreciate good things? They gave me that title, and I was like, ‘If they see me as the queen of Ghana music’, I will take it.”

“That right there was to confirm the fact that, yeah, I have accepted that title because my fans gave it to me,” she said.

According to Wendy Shay, everyone has the right to choose any name they wish to call themselves.

"I really believe that everyone is entitled to use any name they choose. Everyone has the right to ascribe a title to himself, in my opinion. Furthermore, I think that everyone is a queen. The other female artists are all royalty.

However, I was referring to myself, therefore they may also refer to themselves as queens. I avoided using anyone's name. I was merely stating the obvious and reiterating the honor that my supporters have bestowed upon me, she continued.
