Britney Boateng, a 22-year-old Ghanaian diva living in the US, was reportedly shot dead by her sister-in-law after a disagreement between the two of them.
The Ghanaian musician was fatally shot following an argument with Tyona Dodson, who has since been detained, according to the Columbus Division of Police. What prompted the argument between Tyona and Britney is still unknown.
According to Columbus police, they got a call about one in the morning. on a report of a shooting in the East Side's 400 block of South Weyant Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found Britney Boateng, 22, of the Southeast Side, shot. Boateng was pronounced dead at the scene by the paramedics. Police seized Tyona Dunkle, a 41-year-old resident of the East Side, and charged her with murder.
Court records show that Dunkle resides in the house where the shooting occurred. Police claim that before the shooting, Dunkle and Boateng got into a fight or other altercation.
At the moment, Dunkle is being detained in the Franklin County jail.
